American and the APA negotiating committees met to discuss Supplement W, 767 crew rest seats, as well as the pilot recalls process. The committees also reviewed side letters on contract simplification.
December 13 & 14, 2006
On Wednesday, American and the APA negotiating committees met to review the extension letter for S80 flying to Nassau. American presented an optional vision coverage side letter, and the APA presented its contract simplification proposal. On Thursday, both parties went to DFW Airport to review the 767 crew rest seats.

November 14 & 16, 2006
On Tuesday, American and the APA negotiating committees met, and the APA stated that they could no longer meet on Dec. 12 because of a Miami base meeting. On Thursday, the APA presented a Letter of Agreement on long-haul flying to China.

American and the APA negotiating committees mutually agreed not to meet.
November 7, 2006
American and the APA negotiating committees met to establish a meeting calendar for the following 2 1/2 months. Later, the APA advised American that those established meeting dates were tentative.
October 11 & 12, 2006
American and the APA negotiating committees met, and the APA presented its Components for a Ratifiable Agreement. Both committees agreed to resume with scheduled meetings beginning Nov. 7, due to the upcoming Fall Leadership Conference and the APA Board of Directors meeting.
